Does your gear shift lever feel like it is going to go out through the passenger door?

Do you find yourself hunting for gears?

This is a sign that the shift lever alignment bolt is broken. It is a very common problem and can be fixed in a matter of minutes with simple hand tools.

Kit includes new bolt and installation instructions.

NOTE:

This bolt is for early model Samurais 1986 - 1989. In the 1990's Suzuki realized the error of their ways and upgraded the bolt to a larger one that does not break so easily.  It is possible to swap out the shifter and shift tower from a late model Samurai onto an  early model to avoid ever having to replace this bolt again.

Broken bolt had created "sloppy shifter" issue

I'm not much of a backyard mechanic, but looking at the various pictures I found on Facebook, I decided to try this one myself. Aside from getting more grease and oil on me than I expected, and sweating bullets about actually opening the top of the transmission, it went surprisingly well. The bolt you sent me fit perfectly, and my 'Zuk once again shifts crisply and cleanly.
