Old Man Emu Dakar 1.5" Lifted Springs

Seeking a mild lift that will improve both on and off road ride?
We have found that the Old Man Emu Dakar Springs are perhaps the best off the shelf mass produced spring on the market. Those Aussies really did their homework. The OME Springs provide an excellent ride both on and off road, and give your vehicle an added 2.5" of lift to run a slightly larger tire up to 29” when combined with a set of Petro Works Extended Shackles and Aftermarket Energy Bushings. You won't be disappointed. There is no modification of your driveshafts, brakes or steering required for this kit. It is all bolt on and can be done with normal hand tools, and a jack in your driveway.

    Awesome Lift I couldint be any more happier! rides smooth, the flex is amazing and now looks amazing lifted! I highly recommend this lift to anybody looking for a lift thats not to tall and rides great! Thank you Petroworks for selling something better than calmini.

    This kit is absolutely perfect. I just installed it. No issues of any kind. All hardware needed is supplied and it fits. (Watch out for the longer bushing sleeves, these are for the "big eye" end of the springs.) The OME springs add just a small lift, plus softer ride. Shocks, well, Gabriel sez it all. And the Petroworks shackles - you might wonder if you really need them. When you actually compare with the 30 year old factory stampings, you'll say "I definitely needed these". Next stop for me: whell spacers and new tires.

    The perfect lift!

    Ended up with 2 1/2" of lift. Lift went in smooth, except for the removal of the front bolts on the rear leaf springs. Apparently the bolts got rusted to the eyelet sleeve in the leaf spring. Had to use a sawzall to cut the bolt out. Bought two new bolts, nuts, and lock washers (4"X 1/2") and finished the install without any other issues. Very nice complete kit. Rides smoother than the stock springs and ended up with perfect driveline angle. I highly recommend this kit if you're looking to make your Samurai look like it should have from the factory. Even looks correct with 27" tires.

    I have had it on for about a year now. Handles and performs great. Give the Samurai a nice look with out being overly tall.
