Rear Brake Proportioning Valve
SuzukiOEM Style Suzuki Samurai Rear Brake Proportioning Valve.
This is the little valve that sits along the right rear frame rail about half way back that proportions the rear brake
cylinders. These do go bad over time and need to be replaced.
This valve is new.

Awesome. Only one I could find on net, wish it were slightly cheaper.
Brand new product as described. Easy as pie to install. Wish it were cheaper, though. Led to me inadvertently deciding to replace a lot of my hard lines, too.

Brake light on & pedal goes to the floor. Fluid leaking from gizmo under passenger side seat.
A bit of research indicated it was a well known issue with the proportioning valve. This looked like the best option as it keeps my Zuk all original. I considered rear disc brakes- but why? I had the part in hand in 4 working days. installation was maybe half on hour after getting it on the jack stands- i cleaned everything well with a soft brush to get the dirt off the lines & keep it out of the system. The only surprise was that the valve fits tightly over a bump on the mounting bracket. Once you remove the lines and bolt the valve takes a bit of twisting/prying to pop off. Bleed your brakes after installation & you are good.

Bosch, need I say more.
Bolts right in. Identical to the original.

product is identical to stock unit
This thing looks just like the stock unit. Every thing lined up perfect , the threads were perfect. The whole project took about a half hour to remove and replace, took longer to bleed the brakes than it did to install the unit.
