When installing a 1.6 motor into you Samurai it is necessary to lower the motor down between the frame rails like we do on our 1.6 engine mounts. However, once the motor is lowered it is necessary to lower the transmission to correct the oil level and allow for proper filling. It also puts less stress and binding on the engine to transmission connection. To accomplish this we use this simple mount that replaces the existing Samurai cast steel piece. Just install it into the stock location on the back of the transmission and install your OEM transmission rubber isolater.
When doing this it is a good time to replace that broken or oil soaked rubber transmission mount get them here.
