PETROWORKS 1.6 Motor ISOLATION mounts.

Want to do a custom 1.6 motor setup in your car but not use our full adapter kit.  Well, we do sell the motor mounts separately.

NEW STYLE, ANTI-VIBRATION Motor mounts (Gen 5).

These are a much improved design to better control vibration felt in almost every design of 1.6 motor mounts on the market (including ours). We have looked at all the issues and over the years we find that just about every design fails in some way, shape, or form. This is mostly due to designs not taking into account the torquing of the motor which puts extreme downward and upward stress on the material used in the mounts. Our new design uses actual motor mounts from cars on the road, but we align the motor so that all the weight is sitting directly on the "meaty" part of the rubber isolator. The rubber helps to better isolate vibration felt through the frame. The new mounts are easier to replace and much stronger than our previous designs.

Unlike other 1.6 motor mount setups available our mounts drop the motor down between the frame rails by about 3/4" to allow clearance of the intake system and hood.  We also clock the motor a few degrees clockwise to help better clear the exhaust manifold and frame rail.

NOTE

1) The mounts come assembled and it is not recommended that they be separated when installing the motor into your car.  It is much easier to install with them assembled.

2) These new style mounts (Frame Side) will not fit in older generation mounts. Both Frame and Motor mounts have to be replaced.

3) Reuse your original mount to frame bolts (these are not included).
